How do you use the Magic Balm as a makeup remover?

The balm's rich texture removes makeup gently and very effectively. We recommend following these steps:

1) Warm a pea-sized amount of balm in the palm of your hand until it turns into oil.

2) Then apply the melted balm to your face and massage lightly with your fingertips in circular motions.

3) Finish by wiping a damp washable cotton round over your face to remove excess balm and makeup residue.

Note: this is a makeup-removing balm, not a cleanser. One of the most common skincare mistakes is thinking your skin is clean once you've removed your makeup. In fact, makeup removal only dissolves the first layer of surface impurities (pigments, sunscreen, etc.) thanks to its lipids. You need to follow up directly with a cleanse, using a product that emulsifies on contact with water to remove the last stubborn impurities.

So these are two distinct, complementary steps.

Is the Balm effective on eczema, psoriasis and burns?

These are medical conditions that must first and foremost be treated on medical advice. Through our customers' many reviews, we've found that the Balm soothes eczema and psoriasis, but it is in no way a medical treatment. Generally speaking, a cosmetic product only acts on the upper layers of the skin. A serious burn can in no way be treated with the balm. To discover all the testimonials and explanations on this topic, head to the dedicated page right here !

Is the Magic Balm comedogenic?

Our balm contains olive oil, which is a low-comedogenic oil (slightly more than avocado oil, for example, but much less than coconut oil).

Can I use the multi-purpose balm if I'm pregnant?

We recommend using the Fragrance-Free Balm or the Coconut-scented Balm, specially formulated without essential oils. Feel free to consult a healthcare professional for more personalized advice.

Is the Magic Balm moisturizing?

For your information, a moisturizing cream contains water and therefore supplies water to your cells. Once your cells are filled with water, you then need to apply a nourishing balm to create a protective barrier over them so the water they contain doesn't escape.

Since this balm is made only of lipids, it nourishes the skin and prevents dehydration. It complements hydration and helps retain water in the tissues when applied as the last step of your beauty routine.

The Magic Balm looks greasy—will my face look shiny if I apply it?

The Magic Balm complements hydration. Its lipid-based formula nourishes the skin and forms a protective barrier that helps limit water loss and dehydration. To get this benefit, apply this nourishing balm as the last step of your routine, after your moisturizer. It's particularly suited to sensitive, dry and very dry skin.

Natural multi-purpose Monoï balm, sunny white flower and vanilla scent

Choosing a natural multi-purpose balm with a Monoï scent means combining the versatility of a core routine product with a sunny, escapist scent signature straight from Polynesia. The Les Petits Prödiges Monoï Magic Balm features the iconic Magic Balm formula in an edition scented with sweet notes of white flowers and vanilla. A 10-in-1 balm that nourishes, soothes and protects the skin (face, body, lips, hands, hair, makeup removal), wrapped in a vacation fragrance that transports you, from the very first application, to a sun-drenched beach. A moment of escape to enjoy at home or while traveling.

This balm suits the whole family from age 3, all skin types and sensitive skin. Use it on the face as the last step of your evening routine or on dry areas as needed, and on the body to soften legs, feet, elbows, cuticles or tattoos. Ideal as an after-sun treatment thanks to its iconic Monoï scent associated with summer vacations, it also helps after shaving or waxing by bringing comfort and softness to sensitized areas. As a makeup remover, its texture melts into an oil to gently remove makeup, including around the eyes, then wipes off with a damp reusable cotton round. On the lips, a thin layer is enough to nourish and repair damaged areas. On hair ends, apply it as a mask one hour before shampooing or as a daily treatment for a silky finish reminiscent of hair after a day at the beach.

As for the formula, the Monoï Magic Balm is 100% naturally derived and made with only 9 ingredients with clearly defined roles. Olive oil and sweet almond oil help nourish and soften the skin. The Beeswax, honey and royal jelly support its regeneration. Arnica extract helps calm skin reactivity. Vitamin E protects the formula over time. Everything is enhanced by a Monoï fragrance with sweet notes of white flowers and vanilla, a sunny, warm and enveloping scent signature, iconic of the Pacific islands.

To use, scoop out a pea-sized amount of balm, warm it between your hands until it turns into an oil, then gently massage into the desired area. Made in France in a recyclable aluminum jar, this balm is available in 30 ml and 100 ml sizes, to slip into your beach bag or keep on your vanity. Rated Excellent on Yuka, it reflects a simple, natural and sensorial approach to beauty: fewer products, more pleasure, and a dose of sunshine in the palm of your hand all year round.
