What is the difference between UVB and UVA?
UVB rays are the “visible” rays of the sun, responsible for sunburn and skin cancer: they are very dangerous between 12 p.m. and 4 p.m. As for UVA rays, they are present regardless of the time of day, weather, or season: they are what cause skin aging and pigment spots.
How are sunscreen ecotoxicity tests carried out?
A culturing method allows for the reproduction of a model organism (non-living, no harm to animals). Cultures of the model organism are incubated for 7 days with different sunscreens to calculate cell viability with sunscreens. Coral cell viability remained almost intact with our cream (98%) vs. the other two which dropped to 65%... (with mineral filters).
What is the shelf life of sunscreens after opening?
Our sunscreen can be used for up to 12 months after opening. After one year, UV protection significantly decreases as the formula degrades.
The sun stick and invisible sun mist remain effective for 6 months after opening.
