Our commitments to ocean protection

Les Petits Prödiges is committed to supporting concrete actions for the preservation of the environment and oceans.

We are proud to collaborate with Coral Guardian, an association dedicated to protecting and restoring coral ecosystems worldwide.

Support impact-driven initiatives

In light of the current environmental situation, Les Petits Prödiges wanted to take targeted and impactful action: protecting the oceans and, above all, preserving coral ecosystems.

In 2026, for the third consecutive year, Les Petits Prödiges is renewing its partnership with Coral Guardian and reaffirming its commitment by actively supporting their actions on the ground.

Our contribution

Les Petits Prödiges donates 1% of the revenue generated by our sun care products to the Coral Guardian association. Our goal? To become a true player in the protection of oceans and corals!

Their mission

Founded in 2012, Coral Guardian is a French association specializing in the protection and restoration of coral reefs worldwide. Coral Guardian aims to rebuild reefs and promote the return of marine biodiversity through 3 pillars:

🪸Protection and restoration of coral reefs through the involvement of local communities dependent on the reefs.

📢Raising public awareness of protection to explain the importance of coral reefs for the planet.

🧪 Science to better study and understand coral reefs, measure the impact of actions, and improve coral protection methods.

Why act?

Why act?

Nearly 90% of coral reefs are at risk of disappearing by 2050.

This degradation is linked to the accumulation of threats due to human activity: pollution, overfishing, coastal development.

Yet, 25% of marine species and 500 million people depend on corals.

The importance of corals

🌍 Biodiversity: coral reefs are ecosystems that house many marine species such as fish, sponges, and mollusks.

🛡️ Coastal protection: corals act as a natural barrier against storms and waves, protecting coastlines from erosion and damage caused by bad weather.

🎣 Fishing: they are breeding, feeding, and refuge areas for many fish and crustacean species, essential for coastal communities who depend on fishing for their livelihood and economy.

💙 Protection of marine biodiversity: corals are home to many endangered and threatened species. Their preservation is therefore essential to protect these vulnerable species.

How does Coral Guardian work?

Their key actions:

In Spain: With Mediterranean pollution becoming a concern, Coral Guardian implements awareness campaigns for fishermen and local communities and actively participates in seabed clean-ups. It then initiates the recovery of the area by re-implanting damaged corals.

In Kenya: The association involves local communities in reef protection and restoration through easily replicable methods to revive fishing and increase their income sources. Numerous awareness activities are conducted in schools and with the local community to protect oceans and coral reefs.

In Indonesia: Overfishing and dynamite fishing have severely impacted corals. Following Coral Guardian's awareness and coral re-implantation efforts since 2015, the Indonesian government declared the area a marine protected area in 2019. Coral Guardian continues its coral restoration project and awareness actions around Hatamin Island.

The association also launched, in November 2025, its collaborative and evolving platform Coral Connect with training programs, discussion forums, a resource library, and digital activities (workshops, informal meetings, webinars, etc.).

How to choose the right sun protection

Every year, approximately 25,000 tons of sunscreen are discharged into the ocean! Even waterproof sunscreens release components into the water when swimming. Choosing sun protection with the most environmentally friendly ingredients on the market for the marine environment is therefore very important!

Here, you need to start by analyzing the UV filters in your sunscreen. We recommend opting for new-generation organic UV filters, which are known for their safety.
