Orange Blossom Madeleines Recipe

Many of you tell us that our multi-purpose balms smell so good you could eat them. But, even though they are 100% natural, we don't recommend it!

However, it is true that some of our scents can be used in cooking: Lemon, Coconut and... Orange Blossom! The latter has been your favorite since our collaboration with Douze Fevrier, so we teamed up with Clémence, the founder of the Gomi Paris restaurant, to offer you a super live recipe!

Since many of you loved the recipe, we're sharing it again right here!

First, you need ingredients. By the way, some of these ingredients can be found in our multi-purpose balms! This is the case for honey, for example.

Ingredients for 18 madeleines:

  • 90g unsalted butter
  • 2 teaspoons honey + 3 tablespoons for the syrup
  • 1 tablespoon orange blossom water
  • 2 eggs
  • 75g granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla powder
  • Zest of 1 orange
  • 90g flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 pinch salt
  • Chopped pistachios (optional)

Put on your best apron, let's go!

1 - Pour the butter & honey into a small saucepan. Let melt over low heat then let cool to room temperature.

2 – Blend the eggs, sugar, vanilla and zest to obtain a smooth batter. Sift the flour, baking powder and salt into a mixing bowl then add to the previous mixture.

3 – Blend everything, add the butter-honey mixture and blend again!

Meanwhile, remember to preheat the oven to 200°!

4 – Butter the madeleine molds and distribute the batter evenly. It is recommended to put a heaped teaspoon in each mold.

Then, you can bake your madeleines for 9/10 minutes. Be careful to let them cool before unmolding!

While baking, make the honey-orange syrup, in which you can dip your delicious madeleines.

To do this, melt 3 tablespoons of honey until it is very liquid and add the orange blossom water.

After baking, you can soak some of the madeleines in the syrup then roll them in chopped pistachios. And voilà, all that's left is to enjoy!

A big thank you to Clémence for this super recipe, which she took the time to do with us live! It was really interesting to be able to talk about cooking but also female entrepreneurship with her. You can also watch this live in the IGTV section of our Instagram profile.

See you soon, little prodigies!
