Orange Blossom Madeleines Recipe

Many of you tell us that our multi-purpose balms smell so good you could eat them. But, even if they are 100% natural, we do not recommend it!

On the other hand, it is true that some of our scents can be used in the kitchen: Lemon, Coconut and ... Orange blossom! The latter has been your favorite since our collaboration with Douze Fevrier so we teamed up with Clémence, the founder of the Gomi Paris restaurant, to offer you a great live recipe!

As many of you have had the recipe, we give it to you right here!

First of all, you need the ingredients. In fact, some of these ingredients can be found in our multi-purpose balms ! This is the case with honey, for example.

Ingredients for 18 madeleines:

  • 90g unsalted butter
  • 2 teaspoons of honey + 3 tablespoons for the syrup
  • 1 tablespoon of orange blossom water
  • 2 eggs
  • 75g powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla powder
  • Zest of 1 orange
  • 90g flour
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • Chopped pistachios (optional)

Put on your best apron, let's go!

1 - Pour the butter & honey into a small saucepan. Let melt over low heat then let cool to room temperature.

2 - Mix the eggs, sugar, vanilla and zest to obtain a smooth paste. Sift the flour, baking powder and salt into a mixing bowl then add to the previous mixture.

3 - Mix everything, add the butter-honey mixture and mix again!

During this time, remember to preheat the oven to 200 °!

4 - Butter the madeleine molds and distribute the dough evenly. It is recommended to put a rounded teaspoon in each mold.

Then you can cook your madeleines 9 / 10min. Be careful to let them cool down before unmolding!

While cooking, make the honey-orange syrup, in which you can soak your delicious madeleines.

To do this, melt 3 tablespoons of honey until it is quite liquid and add the orange blossom.

After cooking, you can soak part of the madeleines in the syrup then roll this part in the chopped pistachios. And voila, all that's left to do is savor!

A big big thank you to Clémence for this great recipe, which she took the time to make with us live! It was really interesting to be able to talk about cooking but also female entrepreneurship with her. You can also watch this live in the IGTV section of our instagram profile.

See you soon, little prödiges!
